Assalamualaikum, my fellow audience,...

First of, I would like to apologise for not updating this humble-blog-of-mine for quite some time with my own writing, which is largely due to 'kekeringan idea yg kronik'. Yes people, I had this Blogger Block for quite some time now, and to be frank, I couldn't figure out what to write in here until this morning. Reading some topics by fellow bloggers and the reader's comment seems to have a very positive effect on me,... my mind started to wonder again, and out of nowhere, I think I know what I want to blog about... So here it goes...

Since it is still February, and the air still smells very much of roses and perfumes, so it would only be appropriate to talk about something related to the theme, Love and Relationship. But I shall not elaborate on how to start a love-fling, or how to recover from a failed courtship, because the revision for both cases are widely available on the Net. Instead, I shall focus more on the reasons on why both cases happened on the first place, and how to be ensure that the one U are after is the One for U...

The most important thing to remember, is regardless of how bad your relationship has been in the past, or how much U are hurt and frustrated before, or how lonely U are the moment, there are always a valid reason of why it happened as such. A reason which should not necessarily be logical, but appropriate and very much valid in it own sense. Things happened for a Reason. Alhamdulillah, we as Muslim are raised in the faith of Qada' and Qadar, where we learn to accept every single mishap as a test of our faith in God the Almighty. As frustrating and heartbreaking as our previous love-fling could be, we should always believe that at the end of this dark tunnel, there are always a silver lining waiting for us... There is a big probability that who we will encounter in the future might be the very best person we could ask for ourselves in this short-live-of-ours, as long as we be very careful in analyzing every single potential that come knocking at our hearts.

Before we resort to blaming every other living being on our mishaps, we should first and foremost ask ourselves the big question, "how ready are we when we dwelve in the relationship?!" More often than not, we simply jump onto a relationship because the opportunity exist. We started the fling, the flirt and bla bla bla... just for the sake of having a trustworthy companion. Not that there is much wrong in that, only that it is not a concrete enough reasons to start a serious relationship in between two opposite sex (I purposedly make it very clear here, it MUST involved opposite sex, no HOMO please... ). We should always try to look underneath the infatuation and the physical attraction that exist. The most important thing to do before thinking of courting anyone is to understand what U really wants. Every single one of us has our own specifications (specs) which we look for in a person, which defines the character and physical attributes of the One... This specs is a very elaborate, and very fuzzy at the same time, so it is very much up to us to figure out which specs is relevant and which is not. Pardon me for being a little technical here, but there is a mountain of similarities in between problem solving in engineering and problem solving in Relationship, both relies in the ability to filter out the unnecessary, superficial specs in achieving the best performance of a system, or in our context here, the best mate we could ever asked for...

After truly understands our specs, then we go for the chase... Yes, it is true indeed that God make someone just for U, but just like in the case of Rezeki, U still have to work for it. The key word here, is "EFFORT". How much effort U are willing to put in, determine how fast will U find the One that meet all your relevant specs. In technical terms, effort is directly proportional to results. Remember my friend, ulat dalam batu boleh hidup sebab dia berusaha nak pastikan dia boleh kekal bernyawa, even if that means dia kena hasilkan asid utk hadamkan batu tu sebagai makanan dia.... So, learn from the tiny worm... Infact, learn from everything that is surrounding us, for God the Almighty had purposedly created the whole universe so that we, as His servant, could learn from it and be more appreciative in His Rahmaan and Raahiim. Only be remember my friend, the One you meet, might not only have all the relevant specs, but might as well carries a bagfull of undesirable traits that U never dream of. So how??? For me, since nobody is perfect in this world, and the person who fulfill all your specs can only be One, we should learn to live with all the extra baggage of the person... Accepting a person should always be whole-heartedly, and whole-packagely, so to speak. Never ever accept a person with an intention of changing their undesirable traits, because such a person will feel suffocated and slowly but definitely, will be drift away further from U.

Okay, people, enough of this heavy topic, let change our focus on something a little lighter now. A few days back, CempakaBiru had leave a comment in my tagboard, asking whether my blogname, NESLOICE, is chosen because I am crazy about this particular drink. Thank you for asking, CempakaBiru, she definitely had voiced the curiosity of my dear readers. Well, for the record, I am a fan of this mixture of Nescafe-Milo-Milk-Sugar-Water-Ice thing... but what really makes me pick the name as my blogname, is because of the nature of the drink itself, which I think describe my character perfectly. A perfect balance of bitter, nice and sweet, with cold of ice, a pretty lovely combination... Very much self-explanatory to be exact... I have my mood swing and temperamental side (the bitter); I have the joyous, funny and happy-go-lucky side (the nice and sweet); and the practical, thoughtful and logical side (the ice cold and cool). So now U know, the philosophy of a simple name.
