Assalamualaikum everyone,

It's the new year peps, and we all should be eager, well-motivated and all look forward for a bright and succesful year. And despite the disaster tragedy that happened on 26th of December, let us all not forget the lesson behind the tragedy. The one lesson that should be learnt, that despite all the technological advances we had today, it only takes a short 5 minutes for the God Almighty to remind us how small and helpless we are, that our mere-mortals life are just a borrowed luxury that could be forfeited in a split second, as His will. The tragedy has just highlighted a fact, we can never be too sure of our lives. So, kepada semua yang membaca blog pakcik ni, marilah kita berazam utk menjadikan tahun baru 2005 ni, satu tahun di mana kita berusaha setiap hari utk menjadi muslim yang lebih baik, dan bersungguh-sungguh mendekatkan diri kita kepada Maha Pencipta. Maut tak menunggu sehingga kita benar-benar bersedia sebelum datang bertandang, dan dia juga tak pernah lebih prefer orang tua berbanding orang muda. So fikirkan, dan bertindak sewajarnya...

Okay, now lets talk about my vacation. What happened to my holiday plans...? In a simple sentence, the plans failed. The weather in Kuantan is not very pleasant for the last week, with down-pouring rain every single evening, so all my camping, jungle tracking dreams has just washed away by the rain, down the drain, so to speak. And I stucked home, with my mom and my little brother, watching programs on AXN. I couldn't even go around town and loafed anywhere because my dad has borrowed my car to go out of town for some business trip, and his car, brokedown so timely. So there I am, on vacation mood, but stuck at home doing nothing. On a positive note, I do have a good family time. We chatted, joked, make fun of each other, to get by the boredomness. And I think it kinda work out, because I don't feel that frustrated anymore that all my plans has not been a success. Well, I guess, sometime, I should really do that again, plans for something that surely fails (camping and jungle tracking in December, what am I thinking?!) and use it as an excuse to spend time with family. Not that I really need a good excuse to do that, but I do need an excuse to take a long holiday though 8:p

I also had been directly involved in my sister's engagement party. Guess what, I had been appointed as the chairperson for the Majlis Meminang, yes, me, 25 years old single guy. It's all because my father's best friend, who suppose to be the chairperson for the event, had been admitted to hospital two days before, for an asthma attack. Thank god the event turn out to be okay, all because both sides doesn't really observed the protocols, no Balas-balas Pantun, all straight to the point. The Majlis Meminang feels more like a meeting between departments in my company, so I guess that helps. So it's official then, my sister is off-the-book, she is booked. And all the too-familiar question has just need to pop-out, "When is your turn, Nuar?" Gosh, what can I say,... "InsyaAllah, Still looking for a candidate..." and a smile is precisely my reply. I just wish sometime, for a change, those who asked the question could also come out with their own suggestion or recommendation, 8>)
